Poetry Ireland in association with Trócaire and Amnesty International has organised a reading with some of Ireland's finest writers, in response to the situation in Gaza. Each writer will read for 5-7 minutes at this non-partisan event.

wow but that's a heavy weight list. me, i'd be going for nuala ni dhomhnaill even if she was going to be speaking a language i(mostly) don't understand.
I'd have gone for Nuala too, or Seamus, Eilis, Mary, Colm or even Anne, but none of them asked me - bunch o' snobs - obviously felt they could get along quite well without me...
