Triple Tuesday

So today is the third of three Tuesdays, that have been following each other at regular intervals - 6 days in between em, very predictable really, but thought you'd like to know.

Niamh, I think you mostly post these nonsense days of the week type posts when you have nothing else to say

Niamh B said...

Interesting theory anonymous, did you really have to say it twice?

Anonymous said...

thought it bore repeating

Niamh B said...

Thanks for leaping to my defence there Gwei.
I knew it was an important public anouncement.

I guess I was merely trying to highlight the lack of material that can lead to such a post... but don't misunderstand, I'm not saying they're completely invalid, just pointing to their source.

Niamh B said...

Hmmmm. Ok anonymous, let's be friends.

Anonymous said...

Let's work together in harmony for the good of world peace etc

Niamh B said...

yes, world peace etc, well said anonymous, well said.

Niamh B said...

and anyway, just cos it's not up here, doesn't mean I've nothing to blog about.

Anonymous said...

no, but it seems like that to your audient. (singular for audience)

Niamh B said...

hmmm, but it doesn't matter what things seem like, it's what they are that counts... surely?

didn't you learn anything from that haircut 10 years ago that convinced everyone at work you were finally working hard and taking your career seriously? appearances are the reality.

So i should blog all about my supercool secret (well not really secret, but kinda intimate) joycean gig tomorrow night, and the life affirming birdwatching adventure on Saturday, and the funny heart-wrenching tour conducted by a volunteer who hates his "employers" and the discovery on the hottest Sunday of a mega mecca of a park right down the road that I'd never been in before but which we couldn't fully relax in, since dog misunderstood "lying out on the rug by the rose garden time" as actually being "Dig and spray muck at your owners time" ???

pretty much

I don't think I'll ever take Tuesdays for granted again.

I'd be shocked if you did Acorn!

In fact ,I think you will find, there are considerably more than three Tuesdays in a row.All with the same gap between them, for many, if not thousands of years now.The same pertains to all the days of the week.
I don't think you have discovered something here, Ms Various. In fact as a post,(is that what we call such things?)it is rather underwhelming. But I do congratulate you on effort and wish you more inspiration for the future.
Best regards, Reginald.

Captain Sensible, I welcome your input very much - but I have scoured the wikipedia entry on "tuesday" and can find no definitive reference to its regular repetitions such as I have recently observed. So I'm not quite sure where the evidence for your outrageous statement actually exists.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuesday

In fact the wiki page doesn't even state whether Tuesday's actually happen every week or not.

I have personally counted the days between the last 3 tuesdays which has allowed me to assert my discovery, and can produce paperwork to that effect if required.

Captain sensible, I for one, am very sorry you were underwhelmed... you'll find it a regular occurrence if you come here often...

I am sorry, Mr/Ms anonymous, I cannot reply to an anonymous entity.Such interaction can be dangerous as often 'anonymous'people are n'er do wells and ruffians who will steal money from your banking account and other underhanded treachery.
Already I fear I have ventured too far.
Reginald.

Fear not Captain Sensible, for I am a most trust-worthy anonymous person. I merely need you to transfer 1400 euros/ pounds to my bank, and I will send you next week's winning lotto numbers guaranteed, and when you win we shall run away together and live happily ever after.

Please Captain Sensible, ignore the unendorsed views of anonymous persons on this blog. thank you, and a big welcome to blogworld.

Captain Sensible is wrong. Tuesday wasn't invented until c. 150 - 300 AD. Not thousands of years then.

And as the mother of smallish children who are still on bloody school holiday, I like having these things pointed out to me.

Captain Sensible said...

If that is the case Titus, then how did, for example people collect their dry cleaning on a tuesday before 150 -300 AD? Also that is such a vague guesstimate that I dismiss it's validity entirely.

Captain Sensible said...

Futhermore if you peruse so called 'anonymous' comments you will discover that the fraudulent nature of their intent and see my fears confirmed.Thank you.
Reginald.

Niamh B said...

Thanks Titus for clarifying that point, and I'm always glad to hear that the service I provide is appreciated.
Captain sensible - you will find (when time travel is available to the general public) that time passed quicker in the past, so in fact the date 150 - 300 AD is alot more precise than it would have been nowadays.
And I agree with you wholeheartedly on anonymous's character, she's a rascal.

Reginald, how could you, I'd have expected it from Niamh, but you?!!!
